Toronto Martial Arts

Originating mainly from Asia, martial arts are comprised of several forms of combat which once served as a means to defeat enemies. Over hundreds of years, traditional martial arts have changed and adopted new systems of training which can conventionally be practiced today. The methods used within each form of martial art vary and may include a combination of striking, stand up, grappling, throwing or takedown styles. There are several Toronto martial arts schools that provide specialized classes for sport, self defence and fitness.
