Sopra was featured on the TV show "Opening Soon". Sopra - or “Above” in Italian - is Toronto’s sumptuously sexy new hot spot featuring live music five nights a week, and a menu that offers an eclectic selection. Sopra’s three proprietors are Paolo Paolini and Massimo Capra, co-owners of Mistura restaurant and Nigel Morgan. This exquisitely chic venue was designed by munge//leung: design associates, led by Alessandro Munge and Sai Leung.
The vision of the partners has created a comfortable and enticing setting, in an elegant upscale atmosphere. Sopra Upper Lounge features contemporary international cuisine changing seasonally, prepared by chef, Joe Malandrino, and served under the professional direction of Vince Sposito. An extensive wine and martini list and attentive, courteous staff add to the appeal.
